My name is Claire Lawrence-Gray and I have been the Registered Manager here at ARC since July2019
My background has always been as a nurse: auxiliary, student and then a registered. I practised for many years at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and also spent 4 years in the Middle East. Before I left the hospital I was working as a Clinical Change Facilitator and prior to that spent many years as a WardManager.
Following an accident which prevented me from following on my career in nursing I started to lookat other Health Care ventures that I would be able to pursue that would value my knowledge and experience but also that I could learn new skills and help people as that is all I have ever wanted to do throughout my career in care.
On returning to work I was the Service Co-ordinator at Fleetwood Urgent Treatment Centre, runningthe service alongside the clinical manager and where I learnt many managerial and administration tasks but I still didn’t feel close enough to the patients; so I now find myself here in my perfect job;providing individualised, holistic care whilst using my managerial and training skills in the office with the staff and new service users as they arise. I am extremely passionate about a high standard of care being delivered, that services are tailored to individuals and their needs and also have a focus on safety of the service users, family and the carers that are going into people’s home.
However I don’t just work!
I enjoy singing (sometimes a bit of karaoke), socialising with my friends, spending time with my
family, reading and also enjoying sunsets on our promenade.
