Hi, I’m Joanne I joined ARC Community Care in 2006.
I am the registered manger here. I have worked in the care industry since 1994 progressing in my roles through training and personal development.
I have held managerial positions since 1998 which have enabled me to be involved in service provision and the effective training of staff.
I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the team at ARC. On a day to day basis I work closely with the whole office team and together we strive to ensure a quality service is delivered to all.
This is achieved by providing the care staff with the knowledge and skills required to deliver the service to the best of their ability.
I am dedicated to my role and I believe in giving 100% in all that I do. Whether that is at ARC or on a personal level.
I strongly believe in quality, valuable service provision and delivery.
My role and responsibilities
I am responsible for enforcing company standards, and ensuring they are in compliance with Care Quality Commission and Investors in People.
Providing structured induction training to staff, ensuring they meet both ARC standards and complete the common induction standards.

Chairing regular team meetings giving opportunity for information sharing and team building.
Complete Rota plans, ensuring continuity for the service users.
I oversee staff monitoring, encouraging staff work to standards, enforcing disciplinary procedures where necessary.
I attend the preferred provider meetings to ensure we are up to date with Lancashire County Council’s plans and practices.
I work in close relations with external professionals, including social workers, occupational therapists and district nurses ensuring services are delivered to meet service user needs effectively.
I deliver much of the staff training, in house. This allows the training to be service user focussed.
I also have a good understanding of the staff teams learning styles; I am able to deliver the training to meet their styles and abilities.
